Set permissions/owner (Recursively) Print

  • 3

Inside for example your public_html folder you can set the permissions recursively by using the following commands:
Directories: find . -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
Files: find . -type f -exec chmod 644 {} \;

Now all files/directories inside for example your public_html folder will have the right permissions.

Also inside your public_html folder follow these instructions.
You'll have to determine the owner and group.
If you know those values, hit: chown -R owner:group ../
