Resource Limit Is Reached Print

  • 410

We using CloudLinux on all our hosting enviroments, this mean that all websites are isolated and secured.

In case you face 508 error at your website, telling that "Resource Limit Is Reached", it means that your account started overusing allocated resources. If it was a simple CentOS-based shared server, such an account could just overload the whole server (and even bring it down) affecting other domains. CloudLinux helps to prevent such issues and get accurate information on resource consumption.

Please go to Directadmin -> Recource Usage
you will see brief information concerning overused resources and how many times it happened. In case your account didn't overuse allocated resources - you won't see any warnings.
By clicking on [Details] link, you will see logs provided in graphics. At the top of the page you can see current usage.

CPU Limit
Each account includes 2.67Ghz of CPU at least that it can burst to. If your account hits this limit, your website will slow down.

Memory Limit
Each account can use up to 1GB of virtual memory. If your account hits this limit, your website will show a 500 error message.

Entry Processes
We provide up to 25 concurrent connections. You won't normally hit this limit unless you have poorly coded scripts that fail to execute properly. Your website will show a 508 error if this limit is reached.

If you find your account is continuously hitting the CloudLinux limits and it is affecting the running of your website, please contact support to discuss options. We can assist with diagnosing any problematic scripts to help reduce usage or help you upgrading to a dedicated environment.

Hitting the limits every now and again is fine -- it usually just indicates a small burst in traffic.

How can i solve this issue ?
First you can try to disable some plugins if you are using Wordpress,Joomla of Magento.
Second you can check your recource usage and based on this upgrade to a bigger package with more recources.
